NEW PLAYERS: PS4 Tips
Hey fellow console players!
Never played FFXIV on a pc. And even coming from the PS3, the PS4 interface isn't exceptionally user friendly as far as communication however there are ways to make things easier.
KEYBOARD- Simply plugging in a wired keyboard makes text communication 10X faster. You can play with your controller like normal and as soon as you use the keyboard, it automatically fills the text in the chatbox. No more dealing with the onscreen keyboard.
MUMBLE- Just because you play on a console, doesn't mean you can't talk live with your FC mates playing on pc by using the Mumble application. The app is free on pc so if you have a laptop nearby it will do. If not, you can get the free app for any mobile device. I can stream Mumble from my tablet or cell phone with no issues.
It may seem easy now to go it alone, but as far as later and endgame content goes, communication and cooperation are must haves to complete. So if you'd like enjoy all this game has to offer, pick up Mumble now. Once you installed the program/app you will be able to log in directly from our website.
